more changes on the horizon ?

As I talk to my friends, still working. they are all convinced that more changes are on the way. Though though sure when they all say it seems only obvious that they are on the way. To my friends still there good luck in the coming weeks.

Once upon a time Artco had a printing job.

The Company said "Someone needs to print that." So they
created a print specialist position and hired a person for the job.

Then The Company said, "How does the print specialist do his job without
instruction?" So they created a planning department and hired
two people, one person to write the instructions, and one person to
do time studies.

Then The Company said, "How will we know the print specialist is
doing the work correctly?" So they created a Quality Control
department and hired two people. One to do the studies and one
to write the reports.

Then The Company said, "How are these people going to get paid?"
So they created the following positions: a timekeeper, and a
payroll officer, then they hired two people.

Then The Company said, "Who will be accountable for all of these
people?" So they created an administrative section and hired
three people: an Administrative Officer, Assistant Administrative
Officer, and a Legal Secretary.

Then The Company finally said, "We have had this in
operation for one year and we are $780,000 over budget, our
funds are low and we must cutback overall cost."

So they laid off the print specialist.

Meeting to explain the changes, goes bust

The meeting to explains the changes in the management this week, happened ( well kind of ). The meeting as I understand, went like this. (there have been some changes made in the management and we will be posting a chart with in a week to 10 days). I guess that means stay tuned for more. oh and no profit sharing this year.. no shock there...

I Miss Artco...Sometimes

Let me clarify what I mean by "MISS". I miss the people and the friendships that I had. I wish the best for everyone still there. What I don't miss are the politics. They say that every company has politics but I say bull crap. I have employees and they get paid by their performance and I pay them well. 20% commission is pretty good, considering I was only getting 3% at Artco. If you are interested in an opportunity to sell for a trucking website then just comment and I'll fill you in.

Keep up your 35 HRS average...

Keep up your 35 HRS average per week, or be reduced from Full time to Part Time. Thats right Boys and Girls, if you do not get an average of 35 hrs or more of work a week your classification can be changed from full time to part time, with you having no say in the matter. Having become tired of waiting for the company to acknowledge this and make sure all the employee's know about this I chose to post it here. It was not the action of our company but of the Corporation. Not that I expect that to make you feel any better when faced with all the changes that it entails to your net pocketbook.

The problems with the corprate world

As I sit here contemplating the corporate thought process, it is apparent there is a problem, and most major company's are at fault. Let me see if I can't explain this, Corporate America is not making the amount of money they are used to. In their thoughts the best way to make up the difference is to cut overhead, by reducing workers hrs. eliminating benefits and so forth and so on. These action while on the surface may seem to work, it is short sighted and causes more harm to the nations economy. As people lose hrs, benefits, even jobs, they are feeling insecure about their future. Employee's are spending less, not willing to spend money on anything but the necessities. So really Corporate America needs to follow what it expects us to do. Keep their employee's feeling good and secure, and the employee's will help by spending their hard earned money on products, releasing cash to the markets, which in-turn will help the nations economy. While I Know this is not a perfect answer, what has been tried, hasn't worked, maybe its time to try something new...

Who was actually fired? I know but do you? Some may think it was because he couldn't handle where Artco was going but we know the truth...you were fired. You know who you are.

This has been a long time coming.
